Stephen King's, 'IT' floats past record in box office.

The remake of Stephen King’s, ‘IT’, “blew the roof off the box office” last weekend at its release date says the Author of the book itself, critically acclaimed Stephen King, with the movie earning an estimated $62 million out of a $179 global debut and just over $189 million US.

This latest adaption of a novel by Stephen King, ‘IT’ has smashed records by becoming the fifth highest grossing R rated Horror film of all time and is currently being hailed as the number one movie in the world right now. The total profit of, ‘IT’ was not too shabby in the UK either: with a grossing of £22.2m in the UK within the first ten days of being released in the cinema.

According to Forbes online, this remake has now been dubbed the biggest R-Rated scary movie in over 30 years due to its incredible profit. It’s only been a month since this movie was released in the UK but, ‘IT’ has already floated past, ‘Mother!’ and, ‘Annabelle: Creation’ in September’s box office.

As of the 9th of this month, 'IT' was released on DVD.

With a high score of 85% on the hard-to-please, ‘Rotten Tomatoes’ review site – it’s safe to say, ‘IT’ has raised the competition in Horror movies and frightened its viewers.
