midnight march.
Of all the horrors that roam the night
take heed of all that corrode thy sight
falling snow wraps around street lights
and the evil stalks the streets a'fright
vines entangle 'round roses blood red
perched upon a chapel steeple
wings cloak eyes upon thy head
distant bells sing through the absence of people
crowds of ghosts leave not a print
on winter ground freshly laid
eyes cast down with not a hint
of prices that must be paid
heads pointed towards a moonless sky
ask not one nor two
questions as to the reason why
they must walk this avenue
of never ending neon bulbs
brightening puddles upon every step
static buzzing through erected skulls
that down the street they intercept
marching through all hallows night
the dead gait with ease
through all the horrrors that corrode thy sight
that no mortal should ever see
